Missions

SLAM’s mission is to mobolize students to serve the poor and underprivileged in imitation of Jesus Christ.  As a result, we offer a variety of trips that allow students opportunity to serve, in imitation of Jesus Christ, within their own nation or internationally. National trips are catered to show students needs that exist within our own communities and introduce needs that exist around the world. An international trip is catered to give students hands on international experience that broadens their perspective to include the Global Community.

Our mission trips are ranked from 1-5 based on the difficulty of each trip. The level rating is based off the difficulty in language, culture, and physical endurance required for the trip.

International

On an international level, SLAM continues to mobilize students to live a mission in imitation of Jesus Christ, to serve the poor and underprivileged in the world. International trips provide a hands on experience where students are given the opportunity to serve “the least of these,” through practical means of relational ministry.

On a national level, SLAM facilitates a hands on educational experience by which students are challenged to take a deeper plunge into a life of discipleship exemplified in service.  This is done through serving people who are in need within our own communities.
