For Youth Leaders:
Youth Leaders Conference
Youth Leaders spend much of their time giving, serving, and ministering to their students. This leaves little time for youth leaders to be invested into. SLAM desires to provide a forum where youth leaders can be challenged and given biblically based materials that will help them minister to their students.
Going on Mission
We are excited about youth ministers that are motivated to facilitate ministry opportunities for their young people. We feel that one of our primary responsibilities is to encourage and assist the youth minister in his or her vision to reach those that are in need. Below is the step-by-step process of how you as a youth leader can get your group involved with SLAM.
Step by Step Process:

Step 3: Pre-Trip Responsibilities
SLAM will do all the work of pre-trip planning so that you can spend more time ministering to your youth and less time worrying about the details. Our goal is to make sure that you are set-up to have an impactful ministry experience with your group by…
- Making all travel arrangements
- Arranging all meals and lodging while on mission
- Providing pre-trip materials
- Customizing your service to the gifting of your group
- Facilitating times of daily worship and bible study
While on mission, SLAM will continue its service to you by placing experienced staff members with your group to provide both leadership and insight to show your group how they are helping the community.
