For Parents:

SLAM is supportive of parents that are willing to serve with or send their students on the mission field. For parents that are participating with their child through praying we provide updates through our mission tracker. Also, parents are always welcome to serve alongside their students as they help others. Below is the step by step process of how you can get involved with SLAM as a parent.

Step 3: Pre-Trip Responsibilities

SLAM will do all the work of pre-trip planning so that you can spend more time ministering to your youth group and less time worrying about the details. Our goal is to make sure that you are set-up to have an awesome ministry experience with your group by:

  • Networking with experienced local contacts
  • Making all travel arrangements
  • Arranging all meals and lodging while on mission
  • Providing pre-trip materials
  • Facilitating times of daily worship and bible study

While on mission, SLAM will continue its service to you by placing our experienced people with your group to provide both leadership and insight to show your group how they are helping the community.
