Summer Internship
Dates: June 1-July 15
Summer Internship ’08 is a 7-week rigorous mission’s experience during which participants are introduced to the call of God to serve ‘the least of these’. The internship kicks off with an intensive week of training in ‘Boot Camp’ that serves to prepare interns for the summer’s service opportunities. After a week of training, summer interns are gradually introduced to local service opportunities in the city of Nashville. Interns then make their way to Guatemala, where the ministry partners with missionaries Al and Gail Anderson serving in San Juan, Tecauco. Finally, the longest portion of the internship will be spent in the Philippines, where interns will serve in a variety of capacities including facilitating Bible conferences, visiting with families, and working existing ministries to serve as a light to their communities.

Twenty youth and their leaders from Oklahoma City, OK, drove to Nashville for spring break in order to build stronger relationships within their team by serving others and learning God’s word. Their team joined the SLAM team, as well as students from the Institute, for an exciting week of learning, serving, and growing together.
