A Description of Suchitoto: From the beautiful mountain vistas, to the cobblestone streets Suchitoto is a place you will want to experience. Located a few hours from the capital, Suchitoto is our hub for ministry to the surrounding rural mountain communities. Your teams will enjoy their opportunity to see the culture of El Salvador as it is lived out in Suchitoto.
Service Site Information: Sitio Nuevo (New Place) is a small community just outside Suchitoto. With a population of around 22 families, this community is where we will focus our service efforts. We have acquired a piece of land that we are currently developing for the permanent residence of future full-time missionaries. SLAM youth have an opportunity to join the story of Sitio Nuevo as we begin to impact these families with the love of Jesus. SLAM El Salvador will have diverse opportunities in and around Suchitoto to both serve the needs of their Salvadoran neighbors and lay the foundation for future work among these wonderful people.
Team Lodging: Teams will have the option of staying in one of the hotels in Suchitoto or with a SLAM Certified Host Home in the smaller community of Sitio Nuevo.
