How have students responded to SLAM?
- As a result of God’s ministry through SLAM, many students have come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
- Students have made commitments to serve and exemplify Christ in their homes, schools, communities, and workplaces.
- God has moved in such transformative ways, students have led their parents into knowing Jesus Christ.
- Students have been set free from drug addictions, alcohol, immorality, depression, anxiety, apathy and other forms of bondage.

How long has SLAM been in existence?
- A group of young people in California took youth on mission in 1998 and then began SLAM when they moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2001 where it currently resides.
What is the denominational background of SLAM
- SLAM is an interdenominational ministry. Our statement of beliefs coincides with Global Outreach Developments International (SLAM’s parent organization) and the National Association of Evangelicals. To learn more click here.
What kind of experience does SLAM have taking students on mission?
- SLAM has been leading students on mission trips for over 10 years. SLAM has led over 5,000 students to live a mission across the street and around the world.
- Collectively, the SLAM Crew have led student mission trips to 11 different countries and have over a decade of mission field experience.
Are all donations tax deductible?
- Yes, all donations are tax deductible. SLAM is a program of Global Outreach Developments International which is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization.
How does SLAM raise support to run the organization?
- SLAM is able to continue in ministry because of the support of individuals, families and churches who give monetarily, materially, and prayerfully to the organization.
